Ive made a drawing on AutoCAD LT 2015 with a small dimensions , when converting to pdf it looks like a dot so how can I make it clearer ? is there anyway to draw in an A4 size , I mean it will be much easier to draw on and much better to go to your boss and say : Hey I did it !!!

Via the Plot dialog box where it says Plot Scale. Disable "Fit to Paper" then go to where it says Scale and scroll through the list of available scales and click on the one you think will suit your needs best.

Yes, AutoCAD gives the user infinite space in which to draw objects. Remember that the cardinal rule of AutoCAD is draw everything FULL size whether you are drawing a paper clip or a Boeing 777 Dreamliner.

Hello Malak You keep saying export to PDF but in reality you print to PDF. In this you set the paper size as well as the plot scale of the finished PDF. You simply start the print/plot command and then select the appropriate printer/plotter name, in this case DWG to PDF (see attached jpg). Set your paper size and then select what you want to plot to PDF in the Plot Area. I have set it to window and then drew a window around what I want to be in the PDF. Next you set your origin and then the scale. As you can see there is a diagram that shows exactly how your selected objects will fit on the paper size you selected. After setting all these you can select Preview and see how it will really look.

IF you draw in 3d, you will need to export from VW in a 3d mode/view... (5 on the numpad is 3d Plan, 0 on the numpad is 2d Plan) VW will not export both 2d and 3d portions of symbols to autocad. So if you're in a 3d view, it will export the 3d data, if in a 2d view, etc...

On my Export options, I only select "classes" and "exported as invisible layers" I UNSELECT EVERYTHING else... that works the best with autocad. I would never want to rescale layers, and you can decide whether or not you need hatches or images, mapping line weights always seems to be a nightmare...

As shown in the screenshots below, after installing the add-in, a menu will appear in the Add-ins menu. It is called Convert Objects to AutoCAD Points. In each menu, there are four buttons for each object.

The first button/order is for converting Blocks to points. This order takes the location of the insertion point of each selected block, including the Z position, and converts it to a point.

The second button/order is for converting Circles to points. This order takes the location of the center of each selected circle, including the Z position, and converts it to a point.

The third button/order is for converting MText to points. This order takes the location of the insertion point of each selected MText, including the Z position, and converts it to a point.

The fourth button/order is for converting Text to points. This order takes the location of the insertion point of each selected Text, including the Z position, and converts it to a point.

Hi,I am the new user of Allegro and i am trying to convert one of my autocad file to allegro. the problem i am facing is that it converted some of layers like dimension and outline ,but the polylines which i converted to etch layer is not comming as a filled solid, can any one told me how can i do this.

Hi there, has anybody any information about converting blender files into CAD (autocad) formats to get them produced by machines? are there export-formats of blender whcih can be converted into cad? any experiences?

cad formats are e.g .dwg .dxf .dxb .dwf

Thanks very much!

regards

Though i used curves, converted them to meshes and the resulting mesh had a ton of geometry so the cnc machine ran out of memory while trying to load the file so it had to be done in pieces, but yes it works.

Hey Every one,im new to python and Blender,i currently have a number of Autocad packages and patents ,i have just finished my Anti-Gravity design and modeling of my project,im about to go into Marketing in October, but the Market research team would like a comprehensive look at how my Antigravity Design works.

What i want to know is if it is possible to take my Autocad files and give them life using python and Blender, since i am new to this i will most likely find some one that can help me Animate my design on a professional level,i need to do this before september, because there will be a board room conference held for me to explain the fundementals of how my machine works,i need to be able to bring my Autocad files to life as it does in Reality,it would be much appreciated if some one would contact me directly ,my email address is incon...@mailforce.net,it would be much appreciated!

The autocad format like dxf dwg or other are only a specific autocad format. most of common mesh format are similar and interchangeable, but when you say Blender to CAD, this mean a lot of thing. Personally I use Blender as CAD, and for exchange file is not always simple and it depend on your needs, for Nurbs CAD there are many ways, for simple mesh planar, you can save the file in fbx, for autocad or dxf with the addon, if you need a nurbs file there are three ways one is using freeship, an other Fusion 360 and the last this Moi3d, all previous this need a mesh ready for the subdivision.

At no cost, hobbyists, makers, and others who are willing to freely share their designs can pursue their projects without the hassles commonly found in old CAD systems. Onshape is accessible from any device, never loses data, and makes sharing and collaboration easy. For the ability to create private design data, see Onshape Professional.

You should go for a desktop PDF to DWG converter if your work requires you to regularly convert complex PDFs to DWG and DXF formats. Desktop tools are usually equipped with advanced features and raster-to-vector (R2V) conversion engines.

Able2Extract Professional is a prime example of a powerful PDF to DWG converter for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It offers advanced features such as Batch PDF to DWG conversion, high-fidelity OCR engine for scanned PDFs, conversion to multiple file layers, and much more.

For poor quality scans that contain complex drawings, we recommend that you use Able2Extract Professional - an industry-leading PDF to AutoCAD converter that is equipped with a business-grade OCR engine for perfect Raster-to-Vector (R2V) extraction.

Instead of converting one document at a time, you can use Able2Extract Professional to automate the conversion process by adding hundreds of PDFs to the conversion queue. This way you can batch convert whole folders of PDF files to DWG/DXF at once with speed and accuracy.

On the other hand, professional, desktop PDF conversion software like Able2Extract Professional allows you to select and convert an entire document, a page range, specific pages, or even a single drawing.

The online option requires an active internet connection and access to an online PDF to DWG converter tool. Most online converter tools are free (some require signup or leaving personal information) and offer quick and accurate conversions.

If you are working with native PDFs, AutoCAD 2017 and newer can make lines and text editable. However, importing a scanned PDF will result in a non-editable raster image attached to an AutoCAD drawing.

Our free online PDF to DWG tool and offline desktop PDF to AutoCAD software application, Able2Extract Professional, can convert both native and scanned PDF files into editable DWG files by utilizing a powerful OCR engine.

Additionally, Able2Extract comes with advanced options for raster-to-vector (R2V) conversions as well as the ability to convert PDFs to Drawing Exchange Format (DXF) that can be opened and manipulated with various programs (text editors included).
