Hi neighbors -

Don't forget to RSVP for the Canyon Picnic tomorrow - details at:

http://bcpoa.net/2022/08/2022-bridger-canyon-picnic-september-11th/

We're having a BCPOA board meeting on site beforehand, so many of us will be there - hope to see you.

Hopefully we've past the worst of wildfire risk for the season, but that might make it a good time to plan. I've attached an evacuation planning document from Jefferson/Broadwater/Lewis&Clark counties, which contains a lot of good information. Thanks to Carol Fifer for sharing this. There are some related resources on our web site, like http://bcpoa.net/2020/09/post-fire-recovery/

One thing I didn't see in the plan is a comprehensive "what to bring" list - there's a nice checklist here:

An update on the Canyon Gate development at Story Mill follows at the end of this message (thanks to Ellen Trygstad for that).

Tom

Hi all-

Hope you're having a good summer. Here are some quick updates for you with links attached where you can get more information.

Canyon Gate
Canyon Gate has submitted a preliminary plat application-22264. It will be undergoing staff review until Sept. 22 when first comments are due back to the applicant. If marked as "adequate" then public notice will go out such as notice boards on property, notice in Sunday BDC paper, and letters to adjoining properties. A meeting will be scheduled for the Community Development Board after the 15 day public review period. Then a meeting will be scheduled for the City Commission 2-4 weeks after the CDB meeting to review the project and vote.  The preliminary plat is not a planning entitlement and doesn't have a lot of detail about the structures. It does include things like lot layout, street location, utilities, water and sewer, and floodplain.

The digital application is available for public review at the planning office downtown in the Alfred Stiff Professional Building, 20 East Olive St. 406-582-2260.

Story Mill Intersection
As most of you know by now, the light at Story Mill is under construction. Construction is anticipated through October. Here's a link to project info:

Gallatin Valley Urban Transportation District (GV-UTD)
With traffic becoming increasingly congested and more developments planned for the Story Mill district, a couple of bus stops in the area might be very helpful.  HRDC's Streamline Bus proposal for creating an Urban Transportation District includes the Story Mill area in their proposed boundaries. Learn more about the GV-UTD and the reasons behind it at the following link. You can also find out where and when to sign the required petition at:

Thank you for your continued interest in the ongoing developments in our neighborhood.
