It is that time of year again…

Bridge Plaza Association has entered this year’s Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s/Brooklyn Greenbridge’s “Greenest Residential Block 2015” for the following blocks:

-              Concord Street between Duffield Street and Gold Street

-              Concord Street between Bridge Street and Duffield Street, plus the Bridge Plaza Community Garden

-              Duffield Street between Tillary Street and Concord Street

Judging starts in mid-June and ends in late July.  More details about the competition may be found on the Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s website at http://www.bbg.org/greenbridge & http://www.bbg.org/greenbridge/greenestblock.

Past years have included awards for the Bridge Plaza Community Garden for Community Garden Streetscape and Individual Window Box Winners at 186 Concord Street and 190 Concord Street.  The plantings and planters do not have to be fancy or expensive; can be simple, classic, or even funky as long as the plants are appropriate for the container and are well-maintained.  There is still time to plant and get greening!

Keep up the great work! If your neighbors are on vacation, please pitch in to help water, pull weeds, etc.

Let’s keep Bridge Plaza Green & Clean!

Please share this e-mail with anyone who may not have e-mail…

Thanks,

Juliette
