Staff Coding Positions...

A bunch of us have been talking about the idea that we could raise money and pay engineers who know how to code, but need experience before they can get a job as a software developer.  We have a number of software projects, most importantly Bridge Troll, which could benefit from focused attention, and I have a number of other ideas for software projects that could help the work of our organization.

We plan to do a little short term experiment in the next few weeks that would help inform a longer program.  We reviewed the idea at a recent board meeting and it was generally well-received.

Kins and I have drafted an overview of the concept and next steps.  Feel free to shout out with feedback or comment in the doc, or let me know if you want to join the team who is working on this.
