Hi everyone,

is it possible to get a flat file export of BridgeDB?

My team has no experience with Java and/or Derby. I did not find documentation how to load the *.bridge files or how to load them into a relational database.

Is BridgeDB intendend for general use or do you focus on building a backend for specific projects? I think a language independent bulk export would be really useful for many researchers. The REST API is fantastic but a flat file export might be easier to use for many applications.

I had a look at the Python project that you mention on your website but it is undocumented: https://github.com/kozo2/bridgedbpy

The Python project that is linked on the website does not have documentation (https://github.com/kozo2/bridgedbpy).

Is BridgeDB intendended for general use in the bioinformatics community or do you focus on building a backend for specific projects? I think a language independent bulk data access method would be a great addition to the REST API.
