Chapter 27 (pg570) in AMSCO is the Eisenhower Years, but I can't really
find much info on how he helped address the fears of communism. I'm
also kinda lost on that....

Oooh they talk Dulles' Diplomacy, but then it says Eisenhower never let
him go through w/ it, so I'm not really sure how that could have
helped. The only other thing i can think of is America intimidating
with their nucleur weapons, but im not really sure

If you did not get the documents here is the link

http://www.collegeboard.com/prod_downloads/ap/students/ushistory/ushist_01.pdf

For Eisenhower info involving him and his Cold War efforts, go to:
Brinkley pgs. 825-829
AMSCO pg. 572-579

That is so clutch. Hey Ben, in the interest of saving paper and you
time, you should just post a link every night for DBQs and stuff, that
way you wouldnt have to deal with the copy center anyways. Because we
know how hard it is for them to get things right...

yes joe, that is so helpful for the.... week we have until the test.
lol.
I thought that Eisenhower basically worked to reassure the Americans of
their safety to overcome th communist scare and the threat of nuclear
attack. I didn't really find too many policies, but things like
McCarthy v. the Army, when McCarthy was basically ruined helped dispel
hardcore anti-communism. Also, he dismissed Truman's containment
policy b/c it was to passive overseas. I used mostly specific evidence
from Truman's time as info leading up to the communist scare like the
Rosenberg case.
I think that when youre doing the DBQ youre just supposed to show that
you know something about the topic. So even if you know specific info
about something just a little related, try to tie it in. What do you
guys think?
