Happy New Year all you book lovers!
Here are upcoming offerings from your used bookstore in Big Stone Gap, VA.
BURNS NIGHT, Jan. 19th, 7 pm - All over the world Scots celebrate the birth of their National Poet Rabbie Burns around this time. Come and help us do the same, hear local celebs Jack Mac and David Constable give traditional "toasts" and sample haggis and Scottish baked goods.
STOMP, Jan. 10th (tomorrow) 7 pm - Join us for an evening of improv theatre games and let your hair down in good style (not for children). Motto: What happens at STOMP stays at STOMP!
Women's design and decor night, Jan. 31st, 7 pm - New this year, join us for a design night with Connie Carico, making a lovely and holistic living space for yourself and your family.
Sustainable nights cancelled - We will still have occasional special events, but our co-ordiantor's Mum is ill so regular meetings are not possible right now (please keep her in your thoughts).
Very special event - We will be leading a tour of Scotland from Aug. 23rd until Sep. 4th starting from Edinburgh. Everyone with an interest in Scottish traditions and culture will certainly enjoy this trip of a lifetime. Please pass on this information to anyone you think will be interested. As we are starting from Edinburgh airport anyone you know in the US or Canada (or anywhere at all) is welcome. Please forward this info within your circle of friends.
