LIZ WEIR VISITS WISE COUNTY
Liz Weir, internationally known traditional singer and storyteller from County Antrim, N. Ireland, will be at the bookstore Saturday, Sept. 29 for a house concert starting at 7:30 p.m. Liz is an extraordinary talent, often featured at the National Storytelling Festival, now giving one limited engagement in Wise County. Tickets are $10 and seating is limited to 25. We hope you can take advantage of this rare opportunity to hear one of the storytelling world's most beloved tellers. Liz has been an extraordinary peace-keeper in extraordinary times.
Also at the bookstore, Saturday Sept. 29 - tiedye for kids with traditional dyes, noon-2 pm. Bring a cotton garment and an adult. (Let's see which one holds dye better!) FREE

Sunday, Oct. 7 starting at 1 pm. Sing anything, with or without an instrument, in this circle jam for people who like to sing. October host: Jack Beck. November Host: Charlie Engle.
INTERNATIONAL NIGHT: ETERNAL ECUADOR
Join Esteban Ponce of UVA Wise as he tells stories and demonstrates traditional activities from his homeland. Light snacks serve. An interactive evening. FREE Friday, Oct. 26 starting at 7 pm
MAKE IT YOURSELF - KIDS' COSTUMES
Saturday, Oct. 27 noon-2 pm Art instructors stand by to help. Bring your old clothes, your adult and your ideas for a rollicking good time making your unique Halloween costume.
