“Hold This Date”

The Lonesome Pine Office on Youth in collaboration with Lonesome Records is pleased to announce that a pre-Fourth of July concert will be held on Friday July 2nd at the Wise County Fair Grounds in Wise Virginia starting at 6:00 pm.  All proceeds from this concert will go to benefit the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Book Program.

This concert will feature Folk Soul Revival, Ron Short and the Possum Play Boys, Tyler Hughes and the Generation Gap, Noah Wall and The Barefoot Movement and we are very pleased to feature special guest Dave Eggar.

Eggar was a musical prodigy as a child, beginning to play the cello and piano at age three and performing on Broadway and at the Metropolitan Opera at age seven. He trained as a classical cellist at the Julliard School, and later graduated from Harvard University and The Julliard School’s Doctoral Program. He debuted in Carnegie Hall at 15 as the youngest winner in the history of the Artists International competition.  He has appeared throughout the world as a classical soloist, including concerto appearance at Avery Fisher Hall, Carnegie Hall, London’s Barbican Center, the Paris Opera, and the Hollywood Bowl. And now soon will be playing for you at the Wise County Fair Grounds.

Jim Webb from WMMT will be the emcee at the concert.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door, and will go on sale in June.  Camping will be available in the rough at the Fair Grounds site for Friday night only at a cost of $5 per person.  For more information, please call the Lonesome Pine Office on Youth at 276-523-5064 ext 10.
