Solar water Heating

Hi All,

I have a question regarding how to model a solar thermal panels. I found out the class Solar_Panel but it refers to photovoltaic systems not to thermal systems.

is there a specific class for this type of entity?

Seems like we need to extend the concept of Solar_Panel to a hierarchy of classes to model the different kind of Solar Panels.

• Solar_Panel
• Solar_PV_Panel - the photo voltaic panel
• Solar_Thermal_Panel - the thermal panel
• Solar_PVT_Panel - the hybrid - both PV and thermal panel

We can consider this addition for the next Brick update.

Then we can be as specific or as generic as we need to be.

Thanks for your answer. 

A possible solution could be that the description of Solar Panel Class is more generic such as:  A colloquial term for a generic module. It converts solar radiation into other energy such as electric current or thermal energy. 

As described in other ontologies.
