Hwo do you invisage this working in brick?

Does a VSD have a Supply Fan? does the supply fan have a VSD also a shakle seems to stop VSDs being in HVAC equipments (which in most cases they are).

I'm trying to finalise this relationship before moving on to bigger issues for resolution to get brick to the right level for all the tasks I think it needs to perform to be truely valuable to the BMCS industry.

My though is a VSD is part of a supply fan but I want to confirm this so this is part of the process, or do you think the VSD should not be part of the AHU (as you shackle currently forces)? COuld you explain how you think this should be applied?

I assume a VSD is the same thing as a Variable Frequency Drive, but yes they can be a part of Fans! A supply fan would have a VFD, like:

:fan a brick:Fan_VFD .
:fan brick:hasPart :vfd .
:vfd a brick:Fan_VFD .

A VSD is not truely part of a FAN it could even be in a completely different room. Like an actuator is not truely part of a CHWV. We're looking at another solution hopefully I will put it here next week. The issue we are trying to resolve is they are a group of items working together. Happy to change this if there is a concensus though as consistency is critical for these implementations. I would like to see examples of implementations people have made of this.

We have put temperature sensors in AHUs as they are partOf an AHU even if they are room sensors so happy to make changes, just because it's easy is not a valid reason in my opinion though. That's why other standards don't work well.
