REC/Brick update with Brick 1.4 and Connections

Hi all,
This is more a question for REC (https://github.com/RealEstateCore/rec) update, but I have understood that this forum has taken over for the Gitter chat we had going.
There has been a long time since any updates to REC source (2 years), and meanwhile Brick has come to 1.4 containing Connections from Ashrae 223 (ref https://docs.brickschema.org/modeling/connections.html).
Anyone know ETA on new version of REC containing these updates in the 1.4 version of Brick?
Also, please let me know if there is a more active branch that contain a newer version we can check out. We are using the dtdl version in Azure Digital Twins and see that we need the connection feature from 223.
