Subject: RBL: Openings in current and retro strat basketball leagues

I run two different strat hoops leagues.   Both are in between seasons and will start up when strats new disk comes out in October.  

 

One is a current league that has a very unique salary/contract system that also means the draft is unusual in that it’s not just rookies but over the years literally every HOF vet has been back in the draft (LeBron, Durant, Curry, etc)….  Currently we have two open spots.   Another feature of this league is when a team is taken over, they don’t just get taken over as they exist.  What happens in a lot of leagues is the open teams suck, and may not have picks.  In this league, you reboot so to speak.  So the rosters of open teams are put into a pool and the new owners pick new teams from those rosters.  In addition they are given picks in each round immediately following the returning lottery teams.   

 

The rosters of the two open teams have Jarrett Allen, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Keldon Johnson, Oneka Okongwy, Michal Porter Jr, Danie Theiss, Fred VanFleet, Robert Williams, Cole Anthony, Darius Bazely, Lu Dort, Richaun Holmes, Reggie Jackson, Dejounte Murray, KAT, and more.   SO there is some talent to start with.

 

One is a retro league that is entering 1993-94.  It is a straight keeper league with no salary.  However, it works like the other league in that new teams draft from rosters of all open teams and get picks in each round.   We have a min of 3 openings in that league.    Players include Ainge, Anderson, Dale Davis, Dudley, Gilliam, Gugs, Houston, Mark Jackson, Billy Owens, Steve Smith, Carr, Dell Curry, Duckworth, Manning, McDaniel, Morris, Pooh Richardson, Scott, Weatherspoon, Ewing, Tim Hardaway, Stacy King, McKey, and more.
