Last week, a female jogger was attacked and repeatedly stabbed near Emory at 7AM last Wednesday. This occurred 1 block from Lavista and Briarcliff intersection, next to Whole Foods. She is expected to recover but this could have been a murder had not morning commuters not heard her cries. The attacker is still on the loose.

Many people walk to work along Briarcliff or wait for The Cliff shuttle at nearby stops.

 

Below is a meeting this evening with DeKalb County police to discuss this crime and other crime-prevention programs from residents of DeKalb. I hope to attend.
