Hello espresso lovers!

I have an old Brewtus II and a few days ago it started to act
different. It is still working, but I am getting a bit nervous that
this is the beginning of something bad happening to the machine.

I have two symptoms:

1. When I pull the lever to pull a shot, there is a delay before the
pump starts. This delay is longer if the time since the last shot is
long. Here is a video: https://youtu.be/62q8mFs6D_8

2. I have the machine on a timer. Normally the pump runs for two
seconds or so when it gets powered on in the morning. Now, the pump
runs for at least 10 seconds, filling up the boiler.

Any ideas what's wrong? Some kind of leak?

Hello again,

More info about my problem. Maybe someone can give me some advice. The
problem I have is related to the water fill up of the boiler. I just
tried to use the water tap and I got hot water, but the boiler is not
refilling. No sound from the pump!

So I guess the sensor that is adjusting the water level is broken or
the control box?
The fill up is working in the morning when I turn on a cold machine.
Pump is running for at least 10 seconds when I power on the machine.

How can I fix this?

TIA,
/David

Found an old discussion about a similar problem and I guess I have to
replace the control box (or at least a relay inside the control box)
Found the newer version of the Giemme control box in stock in Germany
so I ordered it and hopefully it is 100 EUR well spent...

Got my new control box. Before I do something. stupid, is this
correct? Old box to the left 12345678 and how I think it should be to
the right. (See attached image)

The machine is up and running, so my picture should be correct.
This new control box seems to be a third version that works with the
Brewtus. I bought my 230V version box from
http://www.avola-coffeesystems.de and it is called Elektronik Box
Rl30/1e-2r/f Stm8 230vac if someone else have the same problem in the
future and lives in europe.
