Greetings all,

Just picked up a used B3 and there's a plastic tube going from the steam boiler to the brew boiler (the fill connection I think) - I'm not sure if this is an original part on the B3 but in the B4 videos on WLL and the parts diagram (here), it's a copper tube that connects the two boilers.

Is it possible to replace the plastic hose with copper tubing?

There's also a magnetic cap on the B4 that sits on the brew boiler (they say it's used to reduce lime buildup) and it's not on my B3 - can I just stick a magnet there?

Thanks again!

On its face, I can’t see any reason why not, other than piecing together the needed fittings.

Looks like you could use some new insulation too.  ;)

Good luck reviving it!

It is not plastic it is ptfe tubing. Mine was too short after years of cutting to reseal the ends and I just got a spool on Amazon. The tubing on mine is 4mm id, 6mm od. Why replace with copper?
