Looks like Posey's going to be having a healthcare forum on the 2nd. Greens need to be there. I'm going and I'm sure Val is too. Who else wants to go to this thing?

Rep. Bill Posey will be hosting a "Health Care Forum" sometime in the evening on Wednesday, September 2nd in Melbourne. Details TBA. Our monthly Peace Vigil is canceled so that all may attend the forum.

 

Sources tell me the likes of Matt Nye and The Tea Baggers plan to be out in FULL FORCE to heckle and shout down anyone in favor of health care reform. 

 

We already know where Posey stands on Health care. During a FLORIDA TODAY public forum of Congressional candidates Posey stated "people are spending their money on big screen TV's and big tire rims instead of health care".

 

ACTION NEEDED:

1. Serious, polite questioners in the audience of the absurd.

AND

2. Outside humorous satirical demonstration poking fun of the tin foil hat crowd inside and Posey.

I'll be wearing  this costume with a placard that says "Not Covered By My Insurance".

I can imagine a bunch of us dressed up as old people with walkers and canes 
looking for the "Death Panel" or others with signs like "Help I've 
Fallen In My Donut Hole And Can't Get Up". The more props the better.
Or

Grim Reapers with "Insurance CEO" or "Big Pharm CEO" placards.

Or

How about clowns with tin foil hats carrying Kenyan Birth Certificates??
Or

People carrying giant pill bottles cut out from poster board with RX on them and a $300 price tags.

Or

People carrying cardboard big screen TV's and cardboard tires with big rims.

 

Let your imaginations run wild, Posey has certainly provided us with enough material.

 

This forum will be a joke, lets make it a circus outside. Black humor and street theatre can be extremely effective illustrating the absurd.
