Good morning,
This is a friendly but important reminder of your entity’s commitment under the Interlocal Agreement for Cooperative Purchasing that established the Brevard County Public Entity Purchasing Cooperative.
As outlined in the Agreement (particularly sections 2 and 3), each participating entity is expected to designate a representative and actively participate in Cooperative meetings. This includes attending meetings to discuss purchasing opportunities, share information, and conduct necessary business such as voting on officer positions and procedures. Your participation is voluntary but vital to the success of the Cooperative and the achievement of cost savings, better quality, and lower administrative costs for all members.
Unfortunately, we have now had two recent meetings where we did not achieve a quorum, preventing us from taking important votes, including the election of an officer for Secretary. A vote on the officer position is now scheduled for the next meeting on May 20th. In order to conduct this and other Cooperative business, we need strong attendance from our member entities.
Action Requested:
I will follow up prior to the meeting with the agenda and the minutes from the last meeting for your team.
Your participation and collaboration directly benefit all members through stronger volume purchasing, shared knowledge, and more efficient procurement processes. We truly value the time and expertise each of you brings to the group and appreciate your continued support.
If you have any questions or need a copy of the Interlocal Agreement or the current member list, please let Kelly or I know.
Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter and for your ongoing commitment to the Cooperative.
Thank you,
|
