Meeting this Friday at ten

This month's book is Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay. It will be
reviewed by
Tami and the meeting will be held May 6 at Lorie's house.


It will be our last meeting before summer starts! I can't believe
it. Marja chose a book for us to read before our next meeting called
the Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. She blogs here:

We usually delay our August meeting by a week so we can all get
adjusted to school starting. Shall we meet August 12?

I'm working at Bristow the rest of the year and I'll be at Adams the first quarter of next year.  I think I've come to the conclusion that a daytime book club just may not be the best fit for me.  I do read EVERY one of the books you ladies read!

 

FYI:  I read Unbroken a while back but I found it very fitting that there was an article on Louie Zamperini in my recent issue of Runner's World magazine.  He is a sprightly 93 year-old who still hikes and flies planes around his Hollywood Hills home.  He says, "I still got pain.  But I shouldn't be alive.  I have wonderfriends, a great family, and the pain doesn't boher me.  I just accept it."

 

I'll drop a copy of the article off to my neighbor on Doral Court so you can see the man/myth/legend.
