Router only 4m from Brennan. Wifi signal is strong as shown on signal meter. Phone and tablet have strong signal at other side of house. Brennan looses Wifi connection 3-4 times in 4 hours. Only way to reconnect is to reboot. Surely I don't have to keep doing this.

If your B2 is going to live that close to the router, you would be better off connecting it using an Ethernet cable. There is an internal Ethernet socket in the B2. You get to it by removing the back, there are cut outs for the cable. Many of us use a short Ethernet whiptail out of the B2 so you can move it later. If you do go the Ethernet rout, please remove the WiFi dongle the B2 should not be used with both in place.

95% of the time WiFi connection problems are issues with the Router rather than the Brennan, the Brennan is just a passive server, it is not responsible for the WiFi connection the Router is.

Hi John. Thanks for your question. Brennan WiFi strength is - 41 dbm.

Hi Julian,

That is a very reasonable strength value

Have you configured your router to always assign the same reserved IP address to your B2 ?

Hi julianh...,

As a test move the WiFi dongle to USB C (if it was in USB A) - power off first - and leave the Bluetooth dongle unplugged. The B2 should recognise the move automatically on power up.
