How does one transfer music directly from B2 to BB1?  The website says this:

Transferring Music from B2 or JB7
The easiest way to transfer music is to plug your B2/JB7 backup disk into BB1 and use the Browse USB function. In fact BB1 will play the music directly from the backup disk - so there is no need to transfer.

However, using the USB A plugs on both units does not seem to work.  Does "backup disk" refer to a separate SSD onto which one has backed up the B2?

Thanks!

Hi,

Its USB C you need to use export (back up ) from the B2

I don't have a BB1 but this is what the instructions say in the guide

Sorry, I meant USB A as in type A, rather than the B2 Port marked A.  If you connect the B2 C port to the BB1 port, the B2 doesn’t seem to recognize the BB1 as a storage device and so gives you no export options.

Hi and yet,

It is not possible to connect two devices as master USB ports together back to back.  A master USB port is a PC/Mac/Chromebook/B2/BB1 port and this is the driver port on each of these devices.

A USB slave port is a USB memory stick/USB printer/USB HDD/USB CD drive, etc. You can only have one USB master in any USB single circuit but you can have multiple slave devices.

If you connect two USB  masters directly to each other, you run the risk of damaging one or both USB ports.  This configuration cannot work.

Therefore you need to plug a USB HDD (the slave) into the first Brennan, do the 'Export', then plug the USB HDD into the second Brennan (again as a slave) and run the 'Import'.

Regards,
Peter.
