Playing Through Computer

My DELL XPS Windows 10 is connected to my audio system via the HDMI out line.  Any online listening, CD or music from an external drive (connected through USB port) plays through this arrangement. 

I tried connecting my new B2 via the HDMI port (to the HDMI In port on the computer). The B2 isn't recognized.  I tried going to settings and adding a new device, with no result.  

Should routing B2 to the computer via the HDMI in work?  I also tried unplugging the HDMI out to see if the B2 would just play on the computer speakers.  That didn't work either.

First of all, when using the B2's HDMI output, make sure to check the box for "Audio on HDMI (TV)" in the Settings window of the WebUI.

Try connecting the B2 HDMI to the HDMI input of your audio system (where your computer was connected) temporarily to make sure the HDMI output on your unit is functional.

I would expect your setup to work, but it may take some investigation as to the proper settings on your computer.
