I am almost finished loading my B2 with music. Finally!

I understand that the Brennan cannot send music via Bluetooth to any other than a Sonos speaker. I wish it could transmit to one of my other Bluetooth speakers. Is there a Bluetooth transmitter I could buy to send music to Bluetooth speakers other than Sonos?

Thanks!

Shawn

Shawn, it does transmit to almost any Bluetooth device! Problem is that you cannot alter the volume from the B2, so unless your Bluetooth speaker, headphones etc have their own volume control, they will only play at full volume!
I wish that Martin could look at this and put a volume control in place. I have several devices that I can't use because of the high volume!
Paul, could this addressed maybe? Thanks.

Thanks Jeff. I guess I was mistaken.

Okay, another dumb question. How do I send music from the B2 to a Bluetooth speaker? Is there a menu setting?

Can't show you my Bluetooth page Shawn, as I'm not at home just now, you should get the gist from here

Thanks for that, Jeff. It took a few attempts, but I got it to work!

I have almost the reverse results with streaming to my Bose Revolve Bluetooth speakers - it’s a bit of a fiddly manoeuvre getting it to stream to both at the same time  - I have to also temporarily turn on Bluetooth and wired speakers together, then turn the wired speakers off - but the volume is a bit low and it won’t go louder or quieter!

Hi Arthur,

Please explain more about "getting it to stream to both at the same time".

With the Bose Revolve speakers, you need to buy a pair to get them to output in stereo - on the app, it’s simple enough - but it’s a song and dance connecting both of them up - even when you do get them to connect together on the Brennan, the volume is not very loud!

Hi Arthur,

The Bluetooth out from the B2 is at a fixed level and the volume has to be adjusted on the Bose.

Which it won’t let you do - it says it’s at maximum - but it won’t turn down either!

It seems that not all Bluetooth devices are compatible with each other.  Some sending devices won't let you adjust the volume, while some receiving devices won't let you do it either.  So you have to choose your devices so that whichever device, either sending or receiving, you want to have doing the volume adjustment, can indeed do it.  When your receiving device won't let you adjust the volume, there's no point in complaining that the sending device won't let you do it either.  Choose compatible devices.

The B2 sends the Bluetooth signal at a fixed volume.  We've seen people complain that the level is too high, and others complain that it's too low.  It seems to me that the receiving device, the one that actually makes the sound that is driven toward your ears, should have the capability to adjust its volume to your liking.  If it does not, then you've chosen the wrong device.

Daniel, I have some bluetooth headphones which have a volume control, Unfortunately, it does not work with the Brennan, only plays at one volume. Works perfectly with my phone! You would have thought a BOSE product would work, especially at their price point.

I can't explain that one.  I'd be talking to Bose about it.

I haven't read all the posts in this thread, so this might be redundant:
For anyone with Bluetooth problems, check that Brennan B2B software is loaded.  That's the version with much better Bluetooth capability.
