Yesterday I ripped two cd's to my B2. Today I did a backup. The new files appear as .wav format on my drive! But my default settings for the B2 are Flac compression & never changed. Would it have something to do with the cd's being proprietary?

Hi Lancest,
No, The B2 rips the files as WAV files.
THEN when it is in standby mode it will proceed to compress these to WAV files into FLAC. You can also initiate the compression "now" with the "Compress now" function from the front controls.
