I see there are several options for remote control, and someday I may explore these, but right now I am more interested in simply seeing what the thing is playing when I'm out in my shop. I have many CDs that I may not know every song and it's kind of a long walk every time I want to know the name of a song that comes on. Is there a simple way to monitor what's playing?

Hi Pritch,

You could use the Web UI on your phone or tablet to see what's playing. It will also allow you to select what to play, play/pause, skip tracks, etc.

How do you do that? Is it an app or something to download onto the phone?

Hi Pritch,

Open a browser page on your phone/tablet and type in the IP address shown on the B2 (both need to be connected to the same WiFi network).

Actually you are using the Web UI but on a mobile device, such as a phone, you will have a limited display and can chose what to display - the default screen on my iPhone is 'Now Playing' with options to play/pause, skip tracks and volume control.

Ah, OK. I'll probably end up going the tablet route. I don't actually own a smart phone, my employer provides me one to use but the I.T. guy gets all bent outta shape and tells the bosses when we misuse them for personal stuff.
Thanks, Paul

Hi Pritch,

Just to reiterate you will not be downloading an app, just opening a browser page and entering the IP Address for the B2.
