Hi markcric...,

Please try doing a Web Upgrade - Maintenance menu and download the latest version (V3.0) of the iPhone app.

If this doesn't help, check the IP Address shown on the BB1's screen - post it here.

Hi Mark,

The IP address has probably changed so you need to make sure you are using the new address in the web browser and make sure you force the app to rediscover your Brennan . Click on the little hifi icon in the app.

Hi Mark,

the wi-fi you are connecting to in your temp accommodation may be configured as a 'guest' network.
Guest networks typically allow a device to talk to the public internet but not to other devices on the same network so your PC and phone will not see the BB1.
Using the BB1 hotspot may get round this but I am not a BB1 user so hopefully another forum user who is can step in and help.

Hi Mark,

Is the BB1 IP address really 192.1.168.233 or do you mean 192.168.1.233?

The difference is very important.

You should not need to alter IP addresses on the BB1.  When you power up the BB1, it sends out a request to the router asking for an IP address.  The router responds by sending a suitable address to the BB1. Then the connection is established.

John's query about the connection possibly being through a 'Guest' network is also relevant because 'Guest' connections don't work with BB1 or B2 units.

Can you tell us what your router IP address is?

Do you have any Wifi extenders in your network?

Regards,
Peter.
