JB7 - Delete All Tracks

Hi want to start re-using my JB7, but want to clear the current music and start again. I've looked at the instructions and the Brennan website, and all I can find is;

Q:"Is there a way of deleting all Albums from the hard disk in one go?"

Yes there is a way to delete all albums from the hard disk in one go.

Use the menu system to select “Settings” then “Maintenance” then “Erase Music” and this will delete all the albums on your JB7 hard disk.

The problem is this. There is no "Maintenance" option in the "Settings" menu. There is only S/W Upgrade, Play Mode, Bass, Treble, Set Time, Set Alarm, Compression, Brightness & New CDDB, but no Maintenance. So, how to delete the current music library in one operation please?

Hi Richard

That is the correct location, on mine the Maintenance is between Brightness and New CDDB and once in the Maintenance menu list  Erase Music is between Version and List Albums.

Very Odd that it is missing on yours.

Hi Richard,

Perhaps your JB7 has earlier software. We also produced a JB7 and a JB7i which again might have slightly different functions. I'll see what I can find out.

I can confirm that mine is a JB7. S/N 7801833080162 - if that helps. I can see no option that reveals what software is loaded.

Just wondering if I need to write this off as unresolvable or if there is somewhere else that I can take this problem. 

It would be a shame to junk the JB7. Any help appreciated.

Hi Richard,

Evidently there is a hidden menu on the JB7 which is accessed as follows - 

The menu on the JB7 can be reached by pressing Eject three times, Back once and then Eject twice again.
