Dear Team
I just updated my software, through web update. Was delighted when I tried to find my sonos and it appeared right there on the select zone menu. I just have one, a Sonos. Beam, named it ‘living room’.

So I use the knob to select zone, but whether I select ‘wired speakers’ or ‘living room’ the Brennan plays through the wokred speakers.

Sonos is on and responsive.
When I played radio or podcast on the Sonos, and select living room on the B2 nothing changes, Sonos plays the podcast, and B2 cleverly tells me that Chris MoYles podcast is playing! All lovely, except cannot get Sonos to play my Brennan HDD.

Have I missed a step somewhere, should I have had Sonos download all my music from B2?

Thanks
MM

Hi MM

First - just to check please press "info" twice on the B2 remote and write down for us here the version of software that the B2 says it is running.
I also assume that you have set your Sonos Beam up using a Sonos app and called it "living room" in that app. I further assume that the Sonos Beam and B2 are attached to the same router.

I find this puzzling "So I use the knob to select zone, but whether I select ‘wired speakers’ or ‘living room’ the Brennan plays through the wired speakers."
Try Using the Web UI for the B2 and tell it to Discover the Sonos again.
Once you have done this stop any Sonos form the Sonos app (pause your speaker) and select the "living room" from the B2 UI and select some music to play. It should come out only on the Sonos.

Hi MM,

When you use the B2 to select the Sonos speaker you need to play music using the B2, not the Sonos app.

But it was. Selected and saying Sonos living room and still playing. Will switch off then only use from the device.
Thanks

Hi docmars,

When the B2 sends music to the Sonos system it gets saved in the Sonos queue, which means the Sonos can continue playing the last selection/s even without the B2 powered on.

This also happens if you select to play a radio station, via the B2 - Sonos continues streaming the radio station without the B2 being on.
