Is it just me?
Am I just unlucky or are the brennan products just very unreliable?
A couple of months back I had to send my jb7 off for repair and when it came back it was still not working.
I had to return it to be looked over.
I have to say that I was very well looked over by Rob.
However, it's gone wrong again.
I've spent a fair bit of time yesterday uploading about 10 cds. I used the remote control absolutely fine and apart from changing to auxiliary to stream I didn't play any content from the hdd.
I decided to play a bit of music tonight from the unit and discovered the remote no longer functions.
Things I tried.
Change battery.
Turn unit off and unplug for 30 secs.
Try my brand new back up brennan remote.
Nothing. Nada. Not a thing.
Only advice is in the manual, change battery or replace remote control.
Done that and nothing works.
It looks to me like the units gone wrong yet again. I wonder if the ir sensors packed up.
I'm seriously begining to think that after spending over £400. 00 so far that I wish I had bought a little denon micro system. At least I could pretty much expect to get more than 6 months use out of it without having to pay to have it couriered back for repair again.
With the current situation of uncertainty and chaos I couldn't guarantee it wouldn't get lost or take ages to put right.
Has anyone any advice please because I'm at a loss for any ideas except its knackered again!
Also how do I change inputs from the front panel because I can't select aux anymore.
Please help.

Hi Trevor,

I know it doesn't help you short term but all repairs are guaranteed for 1 year - unless stated otherwise.

If you email us -   thebrennanb2   @   gmail   .   com   (no spaces) requesting a replacement JB7 remote, with an address for delivery, we will try to get one sent to you.

Paul

Hi Paul.
Many thanks for your response.
I've been chatting to Rob earlier and I already do have a brand new spare remote.
I've tried Robs suggestion of pointing the remote eye at a video camera and I get confirmation by blink/flash being picked up by the camera.
This rather annoyingly all points to the infa red sensor packing up.
Rob is going to help me out. I just hope I can send the unit back and it doesn't get lost or cost me the same as it cost last time which was £20.00
