Hello,
I have developed a new problem listening to the radio on the B2. When pressing "radio" on the remote the name of the station (radio 4 for example) appears on the display for between half a second and just over a second and then there is an audible click through the speakers and the screen goes back to displaying the time. The station is never actually heard. The Wifi is connected correctly and I have done the usual things of rebooting the router, and turning off the B2 and restarting. Things seem to work fine on playback of stored music as far as I can tell and it seems to be only the radio function that is affected.  It the radio button is pressed more than 4 or 5 times in succession in an attempt to connect the B2 becomes unresponsive and must be turned off and back on again. It then becomes responsive once again.
I have no other wifi issues. thank you for your advice.

Radio stations periodically seem to change the URL of their internet streams; for example, the BBC changed ALL of theirs in March. If you are trying to use a preset radio station, you might be trying to connect to an old, no longer valid, stream address.

Using the web user interface (UI) on a computer, can you search for a radio station? That shoud connect to the current stream information and you can save that to the preset to replace the old entry.

Hi Tim

There is nothing wrong/broken with your B2. The unit relies on 3rd party, web based, publicly available, services for Radio and YouTube - when these are changed, this is without Brennan's control but it can appear that the B2 is glitching.
When this happens come to the Forum and it is probable that others are reporting the problem too. Most often a fix can be found.

You say you were wanting Radio 4 - BBC Radio 4?? If so this is I think one of the stations the BBC moved -
As Mark said this is probably in a "preset" if you are selecting it form the handset.
You will need to go onto the Web UI and find BBC 4 from the Full radio menu and then when you select this and find it is working, use this good link to replace that in the
Preset.

Dear Mark and Fred,

Thank you for your forbearance. I have successfully entered the WebUI mode but it seems unresponsive. I do live in a very rural area and the speed of broadband is very suspect but after 10 minutes there is no response to pressing the vTuner button. Should I just wait for the broadband signal to improve? Thank you again. Here is a screen shot.... Well I was going to attach a screenshot but it appears I don't have the bandwidth so maybe it is my broadband that is at fault!

Thanks again

Tim

Dear Mark and Paul,

I have had success. I think my previous issues were patchy broadband because the channels now upload but then there are problems with "waiting for data" which I think is down to BT who I will contact next. Thank you for your help.

All The Best

Hi Tim,

Glad we could help. However when you ask your B2 to "go outside on the web" to get stuff for you, you DO need a reasonable internet connection for the B2 to use to "do its stuff" - otherwise it just becomes frustrating.
You say you are rural - do you happen to fall into one of those areas where the Govt/Openreach is improving things ....see

You may also be interested in a Starlink solution ...... see

Finally If you have a BT Router (it will tell you how good your Internet speed is if you log on to it) you should be aware of a few issues with BT routers that have been affecting B2 users. ... see
