Paint Colours

HI, I'm doing up my JB7 to sell and want to touch up a couple of dings on the front panel. It's the metallic blue colour one.  Before i take it to a paint place I just wondered if the colour has a code or name that anyone knows.  I've searched the forum but have drawn a blank.

Hi Markop...,

As far as I know the front panel is anodised and I do not have a colour reference for it. A good paint shop may have a colour matching service.

My local hardware store has a portable machine that can determine the correct tint to match paint.  However, with this kind of surface, which is not actually painted, although the color will match, the texture will be so different, it will look wrong.  Maybe better to just leave it the way it is.  Your choice, of course.

If you are in the UK you could contact Audiotech and ask if they have a 'good' JB7 front panel.
