Am i doing something wrong, when saving a preset EG: For example save a channel to the radio one slot. When switched of and turned on again it defaults back to radio one and my saved preset has vanished.
I take it there may be no internal battery to save this setting. Anyone?

Hi David,

Can you describe the process that are you using to save the radio channel?

This is no internal battery because it is not required.  All of the internal settings, including the radio channels, are saved to a file in the B2 or BB1 called 'b2settings'.  When the device is rebooted or powered up, it reads the 'b2setting' files during the start up stage.

Regards,
Peter.

Hi Peter

I use the UI interface, I find the channel then to the right click on the three dots on the right to move channel to preset. This shows me an option of 9 to overight from, so i pick say radio 1 and it saves. But as stated gone when restart.

Best David

Hi David,

I've just run a short test on my B2.  I changed two radio channels, Presets 0 and 7 using the webUI just as you have done.  However when I checked at Linux level (basically down in the engine room), the Prests 0 and  7 still showed the original settings.

However, when I pressed and held the 'Play/Stop' button on the front panel for a about 3 seconds, and got the 'Saved' message on the display, when I checked again at Linux level, the newly selected stations appeared on correctly on Presets 0 and 7.

I then powered the B2 down and back up.  The new stations are still there on resets 0 and 7.

So, if you make the change to the Preset, then press 'Play/Save' button until the 'Saved' message appears, then hopefully this will resolve your problem.

Let us know how you get on.

Regards,
Peter.

Hi David,

Glad that your problem is resolved!  The 'Saving' thing is not that obvious, but all devices have their little foibles.

Regards,
Peter.
