Hi Chris,

I assume you mean an outer ring that the the 3" disc sits in to give it the size/footprint of a standard CD.

In theory it should work as long as the disc is stable in its outer ring.

My understanding is the the B2 CD drive is a standard component but is more like that on a car stereo with no tray that pops in and out.

Brennan support can be more definitive.

I would be wary though because  if the adaptor & disc gets stuck it could prove an expensive repair.

I once had a parking ticket get stuck in my car CD player so I have bitter experience !

Why not rip on another device and upload as with your other troublesome CDs ?

Yes John, exactly how you said it, I'll hold off trying it until I can get more info, only other drive I have is external drive for my Mac so same thing no draw.
How the heck did you get a parking ticket in  car CD player lol, not a good plan hope you got it sorted

I'd be very wary of using an adapter in a slot-loading drive. Modern drives spin at fairly high speeds, and I've seen an adapter that had actually shattered inside a drive because it was slightly unbalanced and the high-speed spin put too much stress on the adapter and disc. Getting the bits out of a slot-loading drive could be a problem.

USB drives with trays are pretty cheap, e.g.,

The 3" mini-CD would snap into the tray like a full size disc, no adapter needed.
