Faulty Remote?

Received my B2  last week.  I am having problems with the remote.

 

None of the keys appear to do what they should do. eg.

 

KEY                                 Result

 

Press Volume Up – CD Busy

HDD                          - Random Off

Blue Tooth             - Random Track

CD                             -  Volume

Next                        -Connecting

8                               - mno...

Play                         -Aux Switch Are you sure?   

Assume it's a remote problem and not the box.                 

 

Just noticed a video by Martin which says it can rip CD’s in two to three minutes. Mine takes considerably longer than that.  

Just ripped a 39m 30s, 10 track album and it took 6m 26s.and a 21 track 77m 45s  album 10m 46s.

I would guess on average an album takes 7 to 8 minutes.

Is this normal?

Seems you have the same problem I had.  See copy of my post below.

To check this, point the remote at the B2 with the LED pointing toward the the B2. If the legend on the keys is upside down then you have the same problem.  Contact Brennan they will send you a replacement.

Problem solved.  Turned out to be incorrect assembly of the keypad.  The top part (with the buttons on) was reversed 180 deg.

Just got my B2 today and I love it so far. But I opened my battery slide and the whole drawer popped out. what is the cost for a replacement?

The whole drawer is supposed to slide out.  It just slides back in too.

Replacement remotes are available for £15 (GBP) direct from Brennan.  I have no idea if they will ship outside the UK though.
