shuffling an artist only?

I'm sure there's probably a really obvious fix for this, but I can't seem to figure out how to shuffle a specific artist only.  For example, I would like to play and shuffle only material by the group Frost*.  I can't seem to get that figured out.

Simply make a playlist for that artist, click the three dots on the artist name and "add to playlist" (select the artist playlist) and add. Now you open the playlist and select the playlist for that artist and click the '>' on the left, it will start playing. Now you might have to turn on the shuffle button. (instructions are for web UI)

As des.. Says above but you will need to create a unique playlist for that artist.

And you'll have to remember to delete the playlist each time or at least remove the artist each time you want to play another artist randomly. 

Or end up with loads of playlists.

It'd be nice to just be able to click play on the artist's name and, assuming random/shuffle is on, hear that artist in random mode, would it not?

I think you can have up to 60 playlists, if you like an artist you can use that playlist over and over, for a different artist (or music type) just make a new playlist.

Was there a recent software upgrade to allowing shuffling a playlist? It had been my experience that if I selected a playlist and clicked on its play button, it would play in sequential order. If I then clicked on the shuffle button, the next random song would be from outside the playlist. If I then clicked the playlist's play button again, it would start from the beginning of the playlist again. However, this morning I created a new playlist, clicked on play, then on shuffle and it's playing the playlist in random order. Yay!

Not as far as I know but background housekeeping is ongoing so may have changed something to do with the Playlists playing randomly. At least it is a positive change this time.
