I have tried the basics: switch B2 off and on; do the web download, scan disk, reset the random mode on and off. Random will not play even if I use the next toggle - but it will if I use the back toggle. Same problem using the remote - any ideas please?

Hi Harry,
Please check if you have Classical mode set - Settings > Classical Mode on-off. Having Classical Mode on cancels Random.

Ahhhh - yes, am ripping my wife's classical CDs at present so will stop and check it. Many thanks
