MP3 and Flac mixing

I am just about finished loading my music. Almost 1300 CDs. Just a few downloaded flac folders to go.

I discovered that I mistakenly uploaded some MP3 files. I want to use some of the MP3 songs in playlists. Can I mix MP3s and flacs in a playlist?

Or should I convert the MP3s to flacs and then make playlists?

Hi Shawn,

You can mix the different formats in a playlist.  There is no advantage in converting MP3s to FLAC.  I would discourage that because once you do the conversion, it will be difficult to tell which tracks are genuine FLACs and which were MP3s.

I'm happy to hear that because many of the oldies compilations I have found are only available as MP3 downloads, unfortunately.
