I have Btooth showing/ticked "Output" in GUI for my Bluetooth Earpieces (SoundPeats). They are seen when rescanning by B2 but, try as I might, "I hear naaating, Senior Faaawlty". Tried removing, unticking, rescanning to no avail. Output via Sennheiser Btooth headset or wired via "Audio out" all fine??
All help very welcome in order to continue my listening whilst otherwise occupied in adjacent closets. TIA, David W, Norfolk

Hi David,

What software version is your B2 running - press INFO on the remote twice. B2 xxxx (where xxxx is the date) has an earlier version of Bluetooth firmware. B2b xxxx has updated Bluetooth firmware.

Might be nothing but tried swapping dongles and noticed Wifi dongle, previously in USB A was hot to the touch. I note it's next to power input so maybe norm.

Hi David,

Did you power off before swapping the dongles - I think I killed a WiFi dongle once by hot swapping?

Is there any way to reset the SoundPeats and then try pairing them again? Might also be worth 'Reset Bluetooth' on the B2 as well.

Hi Guys,

Unless I have missed something in the posts, to me the problem looks like David needs to upgrade the B2 software to version B2B June 2 2020. David has posted above that he is on version B2 June 2 2020.

Thanks to all for constructive comments. Does this mean I need to flash a new SD card to get SW version B2B; going back to March version and then back up to June??. Also, haven't got highly convenient "protruding" card mount, Doctor!!

Hi David,

When you reflash the SD card using the Brennan 'B2BNov2019.zip' file, and plug the microSD card back into the B2, the software version will first show as 'B2B Nov 6 2019'.

Then you run 'Web Upgrade' one time and you will find that the software version will show as 'B2B June 2 2020'.

The later model B2s do require the case to be opened, but that is a relatively straight forward task. The website instructions are very good. Just be gentle while opening the case, and only pull the back out by 3 cms and you will be fine!
