Although I don't have any trouble with WiFi for my B2, my BB1 is apparently in a weak area. So I decided to use the Hotspot.
I feel like I should know how to do this.
I opened the browser on my Amazon Fire tablet and typed 10.0.0.1 into the address bar. No connection - it eventually timed out. So I tried it in the Chrome browser on my computer. Same result.
The website points out that the SSID for the Hotspot is "Brennan BB1"and the password is thebrennan, but I didn't know how to make use of those. So I Googled SSID. Then my Duh! moment came. Not only is the Hotspot on a different URL, it's on it's own network.
Okay now I'm listening to music and trying to find my way around the Mobile WebUI. It's on the What's Playing panel. Along the top are a series of icons. The only one lit is the speaker on the far left. But when I tap on the icon for the music tree, nothing happens. When I scroll sideways, I can go to other panels and an icon at the top will light up. Once I scroll over to the panel I want, I know what I have, so there's no need for the icon at the top to light up. I want the icon to take me to the desired panel when I tap it. Am I missing something?
