Is there a way to have B2 randomly pick songs to play?

Yes.  The easiest way is to press the NEXT button on the front panel.  That will start it playing random songs from your entire library.

If you want to play songs just from one play list, click on the Random button to toggle random mode on and then start playing a playlist.  The Random button (in the WebUI) looks like two intertwined arrows.

To add to Daniel's reply - the B2 must be paused (and displaying the clock) and then press NEXT - or press it as the first action after powering the B2 on.
