Earfun earpods

Whether it will work with my B2 is another matter. I have some cheap is headphones which the volume control does work with B2, but they have got that horrible sticky, degrading plastic issue😩 so they're ready for the bin. Thanks.

Not seen these before. Can't comment on whether they will work with the B2 but Amazon are pretty good with taking purchases back if not suitable for purpose, so maybe give then a try (and let us know the outcome).

So I had these delivered 2 days ago, at a cost of £44. After using them for a few hours I can't see why you would need to pay 5 times as much for a fruity product!🤔 The sound is excellent, and they have volume control, which I hope will work with my B2. Away at the moment so cannot test until I get home. Will let you know!

Please excuse my ignorance here...  So Jeff really had to pay £44 to have a set of earbuds delivered?  Why?  And is that really a tax, or was the tax reference just something sarcastic that went over my head?  Mark called it the Apple tax, which also eludes my understanding.  I live in the US, so if this high shipping tax is really a thing, I'm unaware.

the £44 is the price of the earbuds (incl. shipping -- amazon.,co.uk says the price today before shipping is a bit over £42).

The "Apple tax" snark was in response to Jeff's comment about a "fruity product" costing 5 times as much, i.e., over £200. Apple products often are priced much higher than comparable (or in some opinions better-performing) products from other companies.

Update!

Having arrived home from trip away, I have paired these earbuds with my B2, and can confirm they sound great! And....the volume control works on the earbuds. So, if you're looking for an earbud solution, you can't go wrong with these! Especially for the price!

Well Jeff, you're off the hook!  I received the Earfun Air  earpods today and I think that these are EXCELLENT!  I'm not an audiophile to any degree but I do need very good clarity and definition because I suffer from very serious tinnitus (after a bad skiing accident in 2001 which has left me with a loud high pitched screeching noise in my head 24/7/365).

The pairing and connection was very straight-forward, so these earpods (Bluetoooth V5) are backwards compatible with the Bluetooth V4 which the Brennans (versions B2B & BB1) currently use.

So, thanks very much for the lead!  My better half now wants a pair, so I'm about to order another set for her.

Yes, it's amazing what proper thought in design can do!  Imagine this; volume control built in to the earpods!  It's a pity that Apple didn't think of that!  And at many times the price.

Yes, I have found that also; the smoth rounded surface is not easy to get a grip of, but I have adjusted to that and am dooing OK now!

Yes, I'm really enjoying these earbuds, with the big advanatge that volume control is provided on the earbuds, unlike the Apple buds.  And excellent sound quality, all for £44; unbeatable!

What version of software do you have?  B2 or B2B.  You'll need the most recent Bluetooth enhancements of B2B.

Sorry, I’m clearly a bit thick for this game. 

Obviously, I need to upgrade the software, but I can’t see where I need to go to do this. My B2 is on our home WiFi, but I can’t see the “web upgrade” in Settings.

 Help… feeling a bit stupid.

Looking through the Latest Software release notes, I don't see any changes that would be needed.  So I think you just need to start over.  Clear your Bluetooth devices, and have the B2 discover them again.  Others report that the B2 works fine with the EarFun earpods.  Oh, and you need to have the earpods pretty much within the same room as the B2 to be in range without obstacles.

Web Upgrade is in the Settings menu.  You have to turn the knob slowly to make sure it doesn't jump over a selection.

Keith, have you looked at the earfun instructions? You have to follow them! And clear your Bluetooth on B2 beforehand. But they definitely do work!
