How can one drop .m3u Playlists into the B2 at the proper location so they can be used--in my case, by Roku Media Player... Roku’s support web site certainly suggests Playlists should work… See

I will tell you about my search for success. Presented in three Acts... (sorry for length, I am retired). Acts II and III hopefully are insight into why I posted to this forum.
----- ACT I-----
My Mac uses “smb://
0.0.0.61” to connect to my B2 (as a Server)--the first three levels of address are wiped to “0” here.
This lets me view all the Artist folders and subfolders, nothing above or peer to that level of the B2's structure.
In the MacOS Finder display of the server (NAS), the window is labeled “music” but there are no means to navigate except drilling downward into the Artist > Album > tracks.
VLC enabled making a playlist by accessing the B2 via DLNA (listing of Artists/Albums/Tracks was available/usable for this task).
Successfully used the playlist to play the tracks locally on the Mac.
Saved the playlist as “Byrds.m3u” in the cloud (my OneDrive). Wiped the tracks from VLC’s active playlist panel. Quit VLC.
Opened VLC.
Next I used the MacOS to drag from OneDrive to the empty Playlist panel (where VLC says Drag & drop media files here—or something similar).
The moment I released the drag, VLC started playing the first track there on my Mac.
I didn’t bother looking for an Open Playlist (or whatever) in VLC’s menus etc. For what it's worth, VLC appears to only let you view your current Playlist.
The Playlist’s contents, indented for viewing pleasure (wiped to “0” here too):
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:311,The Byrds - 08 Chestnut Mare
#EXTINF:212,The Byrds - 06 Willin’
#EXTINF:298,The Byrds - 01 All the Things (alternate version)
----- ACT II-----
My Win10Pro PC has 2 entries when I use Explorer to view "This PC"
1) music (\\BRENNANB2) (M:) << the Windows view into B2 NAS
2) B2 DLNA Server << the Windows view into B2 via DLNA
> Browse Folders
> Music
> Album
> All Music
> Artist
> Folders
> Genre
> Playlists
> Recently Added
> Pictures
> Video
This DLNA view allows me to see more of the B2's structure.
I can use Explorer to open folders/look into the DLNA Server.
*BUT* I am not permitted to drag 'n' drop my Byrds.m3u into the "Playlists" folder under "Music".
*ALSO* a right-click there provides no active helpful choices (Paste is greyed out).
I am presuming B2 DLNA Server>Music>Playlists is the location RMP would use.
Thus, RMP finds no Playlists at the present.
N.B. At no point are my B2 playlists visible to me on the PC or Mac.
----- ACT III-----
Copied the “Byrds.m3u” file into several places in B2 using NAS access:
> The Byrds folder, since these were all from the same artist (peer to the Album folders under The Byrds)
> Within a “Playlists” folder I created at the B2’s Artist-level (peer to the Artist folders)
> Within the Music folder on B--not in any Artist folder, just dropped presumably into “music” folder, same as where all the Artists folders sit.
> Perhaps I tried other places, but nothing created success.
It is interesting to note, RMP appears to be searching as it shows its spinning graphic (Roku's equivalent to the old Windows hourglass).
RMP did not find or use “Byrds.m3u” though Roku’s support web site certainly seems to suggest Playlists should work…
[Curtain closes after our Protagonist declares] How can one drop .m3u Playlists into the B2 at the proper location to cure this condition? Is this something people actually do?!
