I've copied my iTunes music folder from my iMac onto an external hard drive but I'm struggling to then import it into the B2. I've connected the external hard drive into the USB-C socket on the B2, selected Import from USB-C on the B2 and clicked on Import on the B2 Interface. When I go to Select File I choose the external hard drive. A window then pops up that says music must be in a certain order ie Artist/Album/Track. I thought once you'd consoldated your music files in iTunes that's all you need to do. I'm confused. Am I doing anything wrong or missing something?

Hi Tim,

The HDD you are using to copy the music across needs to be FAT32 formatted to work with the B2. To do this -

  • Plug the HDD into USB C on the B2 > using the front panel control go to Settings > Maintenance > Format USB C
  • The display will show 'Partitioning' briefly followed by 'Formatting'. This should stay on screen for at least ~30s and upto 1-2 minutes depending on the memory size of the HDD - any quicker indicates the format didn't work so try again.
  • When completed the display returns to the Home screen (the one showing the clock).

Now move the HDD to your computer and copy the iTunes music to it. The file structure should be Artist - Album - Tracks. I think if you select an Artist to copy to the HDD then the file structure will be correct.

Plug the HDD into the B2 and select 'Import USB C' from the USB menu.
