BB1 not working

Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong?
My device was performing well until I decided to upgrade the software. 
It now thinks it’s IP address is 10.0.0.1

Hi John,

Your BB1 has somehow got switched the Hotspot feature switched on and that is why the IP address is 10.0.0.1.  To fix this, go into 'Settings & Tools' where you should find a setting 'Hotspot Off'. Click on this once and it should change to 'Hotspot On'.

Your IP address should now change to something like '192.168.1.xxx' and your BB1 will begin to function correctly again.

By the way, the terminology for these functions is truly awful; the display shows 'Hotspot Off' really should read 'Turn Hospot Off' and the display 'Hotspot On' should read 'Turn Hotspot On'.

Quite a few users have been caught out with this.

I have reported this to Brennan as an issue.

Hi John S,

If Peter's suggestion doesn't work try 'Reset WiFi - and reboot' from the Advanced menu and then run 'Setup WiFi' again.
