Hi Paul/Martin, I have a BB1 with the latest version software, I have tried to upgrade to this latest possibly great software I have downloaded file onto USB stick but tried to install software onto BB1 via USB upload but BB1 display indicated “failed" but I do get an extra menu display on the main menu “browse USB” and can upload "var" file but still no Bluetooth facility. Any further Ideas?. I have carried out all suggestions on the forum  spent about 3 hours on this so far.

These are Martin’s original instructions:

This is an experimental release for BB1 owners. This file adds Bluetooth out to BB1.
Download the file to a USB stick and plug into your BB1
Settings->Maintenance->USB Upgrade will install the software and reboot
Settings->Upgrade Bluetooth will install new Bluetooth Output files and reboot
Then you can either control connection to Bluetooth Speakers using the web UI or the Bluetooth Out on the main TFT menu.
If you run into difficulties try Reset Bluetooth on the web UI or in the Maintenance menu.

The key step I didn’t see in your post was the “USB Upgrade” not “USB Upload”

Hi Michael, Using Browse USB, you should see a file called btubeV8.tar.gz, if you cannot see the file download it again and send to the stick, to upgrade go to settings/maintenance/USB Upgrade

Hi Michael,

Have you tried the 'USB Upgrade' and 'Bluetooth Upgrade' commands - did it work?

Hi All,

Just tried the updated BB1 Bluetooth software - 22nd April - which appears to work well. I couldn't connect using the web UI but 'Bluetooth Out' - Main menu - worked first time.

Remember that once Bluetooth is connected and playing that the web UI is no longer operational.
