I would direct your attention to the Playlist page of the Brennan website.  Read the paragraph near the top of the left colum entitled Subtract from All Music.  Therein it refers to the All Music playlist.  It doesn't quite answer your question directly, but it says that you can add All Music to a playlist.

Hi philg...,

Just interested to know why you want to do this - as there may be another way to do what you want?

I want to add in all of the current music I have into 1 playlist before I add in the classical music I've got. I've just seen the All music option in the playlist page which would allow me to subtract playlists, which Dennis Taylor mentions above. So I could create a Classical playlist and put it in that. I would imagine that any more music I add would automatically go into the All music playlist, classical or otherwise. To then only play contemporary music, I would need to create another playlist from All playlist, then subtract classical playlist. If it were possible to select a number of tracks and either add or remove them from playlists, it might make things easier. Obviously the select  option that has been around on PCs and laptops for years.

Thanks,

Phil

Phil,

you can add and remove individual tracks, albums, and artists to/from a playlist by drag and drop or using the the three dot submenu in the Web UI.
Do you already have a B2 or is this a pre-purchase question ?
There is a wealth of information on what the B2 can and cannot do on the Brennan website.

I've had the Brennan B2 for a couple of years and find it an excellent piece of kit. I've only recently been exploring playlists as I want to keep the classical music separate from everything else. Would like to be able to drag and drop groups of tracks, but happy to explore all options.

Hi Phil,

Martin recently introduced 'Blacklist' Playlist - a special kind of Playlist which doesn't play anything on the 'Blacklist' when playing from your entire collection.

There's more info on Playlists on this web page - link - Playlists.
