I have the B2 with Software Version B2 Oct 15 2021 11:24:17.
This does not have the Bulk Upload facility.

I have over 3,000 track to upload, but I can only do this one album at a time.

Any iuggestions?

BTW I'm not a computer wizard!!!

Hi Philip,

I assume you are using the Web UI.

Does the screen not have this  option ?

Hi Philip,

The Upload function was added in 2019 so it should be there.

I have exactly the same problem as Philip - except I have close to 11,000 tracks to upload from my PC! As you will be able to see, there is no bulk upload button:

I do have Version Oct 15 2021 11:24:17 downloaded.

I'm desperate to get all my music uploaded, but know, at 66, I haven't enough life left to achieve it one album at a time - especially as many of the "albums" would be single tracks.

Hi Brooksey,

when you click on the upload tab this is what you should see

Screenshot 2021-12-08 111604.jpg

So I am puzzled that you are not .
The 'Bulk upload' option allows multiple album uploading.
Can you confirm whether you are on the B2 or the B2B version of the latest software ?

Thank you, John, for this quick response.

My screenshot was taken just minutes before I posted, so definitely no option to 'Bulk upload'.
As I said above, I'm on B2 Oct 15 2021 11:24:17, which I downloaded yesterday via the B2's Web Update when I first discovered the problem.
It looks as though I need the B2B version. How do I get it to download?

Hi Brooksey,

Paul from Brennan will hopefully pick up on this thread because it looks like a bug in the B2 version of the software.

You cannot download the B2B version using web upgrade from the menu if you are currently on the B2 version.
The reason for this is that the B2B version incorporates a a later version of the underlying Linux operating system so you have to create a new SD card for your B2.
You can do this yourself if you feel technically confident and have the necessary hardware and software on your computer ( SD card reader/writer & Etcher software) or you can order a new card with the B2B software from Brennan.
If you want to create your own card one of us on here can help you through the process.

There are other ways to bulk import using a USB drive or connecting your B2 as NAS (network attached storage) and copying over the network. Again one of us can help with NAS setup if you need it.

There is one other thing you could try in the interim.

There is a different version of the Web UI the so called 'New' version.
You could try this and see if you have the Bulk upload option when you switch to it.

In order to choose it click on the cog wheel and  click on the radio button next to 'New'

The web UI window will refresh with the new version of the web UI.
Choose File Upload from the menu on the left and see whether you get the bulk option

To revert back to the original Web UI click on the cog wheel and change the radio button back.

Thank you for these suggestions, John.

Taking the last one first, there's no option for a "New" Web UI in the version of Settings I have:

Screenshot .jpg

That was something I looked for yesterday, as well. It looks as though that there's a bug there, too (?).

I'd already considered using a USB drive to bulk import, so that's probably what I'll do. I certainly haven't the level of competency/hardware/software required to create an SD card myself! (I can imagine my sons/grandsons chortling at the thought of me attempting to do that). Would you advise that I change to a B2B card anyway, in case there are further software bugs, as yet undiscovered, on the B2 one?

Hi Brooksey,

Yes I would recommend moving to B2B, as the latest functionality is being added to the B2B version first, and there are some things which are improved e.g. Bluetooth connectivity.
If you order a new card from Brennan make sure it is loaded with the B2B software.

Can you confirm what browser you are using for the Web UI ? e.g. Chrome

I assume you are on Windows 10 or 11 ?

I reverted to the B2 version of the software on my B2 and I am correctly seeing the bulk upload and Web UI options so there is something about your set up that differs from mine
and which is causing you not to have these options displayed. This could be something in the B2 software configuration files  but I don't know what ?
Someone else on here may have a better idea ?

Hi Brooksey and Philip,

Try closing the current web UI page and then go to Settings for the browser. Select 'More Tools' >> 'Clear browser data' >> select 'Cached images and files'.

Now open a new browser page and enter the complete IP from the B2 manually - rather than using a bookmark, shortcut or prompt.

Does this help?

With that number of Tracks (11,000) I would split it into, say 3 or 4 lots.

Hi Paul,

Thank you very much for this advice. Following clearing the cache, the Web UI is now working perfectly and 10, 871 tracks are in the B2!

This is a brilliant support group!
