Just ordered B2 and a question reference set up

Looking forward to getting the B2 and wonder if there is any merit to ripping CD’s free standing (not hooked up to my AVR) or if I should just go ahead and hook it up to the AVR.

First off will update firmware as suggested/recommended.

As  long as  you have internet for album verification, stand alone is fine.  Unless you are going to listen to headphones at first, you dont have hook it up to avr immediately.  

When I received mine years ago, I did several rips before hooking it up to my system,  I dont have alot of room in my cabinet so I made sure sure it was working correctly before

final install.
