Hi Everyone,

I just purchased a B2. I would like to be able to listen to the music on my Apple Airpods, but I do not seem to be able to connect them to the device via bluetooth.

If anyone knows how to do this please let me know.

Thank you!

Jon

Ii just Googled and found this:

Use AirPods with a non-Apple device

You can use AirPods as a Bluetooth headset with a non-Apple device. You can't use Siri, but you can listen and talk. To set up your AirPods with an Android phone or other non-Apple device,3 follow these steps:

  1. On your non-Apple device, go to the settings for Bluetooth and make sure that Bluetooth is on.4 If you have an Android device, go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth.
  2. With your AirPods in the charging case, open the lid.
  3. Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until you see the status light flash white.
  4. When your AirPods appear in the list of Bluetooth devices, select them.
Before doing that, it would be best to read the Brennan instructions about how to connect with a Bluetooth device.  They should be similar.  You need to blend the two sets of instructions so things happen in the correct order.

My experience with connecting to Bluetooth speakers consists of one time.  I made a mistake at first, but then I realized that first you have to see your device in the list of available devices (there could be only one item in the list), and then you click on Connect (or whatever that button is called).

Thanks Daniel.

I have done that, but no luck.

If anyone has other ideas please let me know.

Has anyone used airpods with the B2?

Thanks

Be aware that unless they have a volume control on them, the Brennan volume control will not alter the volume. My earbuds are far too loud!

Thanks Jeff.

How did you get them to connect? Are your earbuds Airpods?

Best,

Jonathan

Sorry Johnathan, mine are cheap earbuds, just pointing out you may have no control over volume! have you gone to the bluetooth part in the app. The cogwheel opens it, then you need to make your airpods visible to the B2!Screenshot_20210215_172815_uk.co.brennan.brennanapp.jpg

apparently you press and hold white button on back of airpod case till the led pulses, they are then in pairing mode!

Hi Jeff and Paul,

The airpods are now paired and music was coming though them for a moment. But then the system jumped back to the speakers. And now I don't seem to be able to listen using the airpods (even though they are still paired).

Any advice?

Thanks,

Jonathan

1) On the B2, click the cog icon (or gear)
2) Click the Bluetooth button (or Bluetooth symbol)
3) Put the Bluetooth device in pairing mode.
4) Click on Scan Bluetooth
5) When you see your device, check the box next to Output which is on the same line with the device name

Here's a picture of what the Bluetooth window looks like.  My example has only one device listed.  There could be as many as are turned on and within range.

Normally, I don't use Bluetooth with my B2.  Don't make the same mistake I just did and forget to plug in the Bluetooth dongle.  ;o)

I just done this: B2 Settings/Maintenance/ScanBluetooth push button.
Powerbeat pods, an Apple accessory, hold on button until flashes, I.e. in Bluetooth pairing mode, wait a while.
On B2 Powerbeats read on front panel, needs lastest WiFi upgrade, that’s why I didn’t see the display before!
Then says connected but no sound.
B2 cog, bottom line, Bluetooth, see Powerbeats with Output, should be ticked already, I didn’t click here, see also “unpair” beside it, leave it!
Go B2 speaker selection under Sonos title, on the B2, leave Sonos App closed, not required.
Key move coming up....select Brennan speakers, and Powerbeats plays! Total time with mistakes to get this right was 15 min. Turned off and on and still works. Great new addition.

Thanks, Daniel, I see that now, but I did it on the B2 screen, having not caught up with that Web UI addition in the upgrade.  Works great. Ken

I'm sorry - it never occurred to me to do it via the front panel.  When I can, I always use the WebUI - it seems much easier to me.
