So, once lookup has been established and the title of the album has been selected does the B2 take the music from the cd, or from the lookup, please ?
The reason I ask is that some artistes and compilations have very similar titles and it is easy to get slightly wrong . But, I am thinking that as long as the music  and track titles are taken from the cd, it is not going to matter very much ? Cheers  Ian

Hi Ian,

the names of CD, artist, and tracks are taken from the database lookup, the actual audio content comes from the CD.

Hi Ian,

The title information comes from the 'Lookup' CD Database - we currently use MusicBrainz.org for this. The music comes from the CD.

Often more than one title for a CD will be found and the first one offered may not be the correct one. If the title shown is wrong, try turning the front control to see if any others are offered.

Sometimes with multi-CD sets the titles on the CDDB are the same for all discs. In this case you will need to rip the first disc, rename it and then rip the second, etc.

Hi Guys,
Ok, many thanks for the info, much appreciated.
Yes, I have had to scroll through the titles/names etc on the lookup in the last few days, now that I have started on the mamouth task of uploading my compilations, some of which are 5 or more cd's long. The problem is that ,for instance, the 80's albums are very close in title to one another ( 100 tracks; The best 80's album. Various artists; 100 tracks: The best 80's album, the very best 80's etc,etc so it can get a bit confusing when it does not( quite) match what it says on the album cover. Sometimes the album cover is a simplified version of what it says inside the album, and this can lead to identification by combing the inside texts. I have even had three or four out of 5 cd's in one compilation all come up correctly, only to find that one of them has the correct title, but no cd number ( 1-5 etc ), when it got all the rest correct. Nevermind, I shall carry on and do my best. Cheers :D

The CD information is not provided by the CD manufacturers, the databases are generated by users/third parties and therefore not always 100% correct. I am afraid it can be a pain to ensure what you are asking the Brennan to rip matches the CD cover!

Hi Ian,

If you use the web UI when ripping CDs you can click on a suggested title to see the Track list.
